ABOUT ME
Background
Dr. Gao is an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Computing and the School of Accounting and Finance at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2019, supervised by Dr. Bin XIAO. He received his M.Eng. degree from Southeast University, China and B.Sc. degree from Hangzhou Dianzi University, China, in 2014 and 2010, respectively. After graduation, he worked in Microsoft China for one year.
Research Interests
I am interested in applied cryptography. Currently, my research topic is zero-knowledge proofs.

Before reaching out to me, you should have completed CS255 and Chapters 19 and 20 of “A Graduate Course in Applied Cryptography” (please state this in the email). Otherwise, you may not receive a response from me.

- March 2023, our paper “Leaking Arbitrarily Many Secrets: Any-out-of-Many Proofs and Applications to RingCT Protocols” is accepted by IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P’23). Congratulations to Tianyu!
